Cap-Ex Ventures Ltd. (TSX-V: CEV) ("Cap-Ex" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the engagement of Strategic Aboriginal Consulting Inc. Strategic Aboriginal Consulting Inc.'s principal, Dave Kennedy, will lead Cap-Ex in engagement with the aboriginal communities and governments in whose traditional territories Cap-Ex is operating.
Mr. Kennedy brings more than 25 years of experience working with public governments, the corporate sector, and First Nation, Inuit and Métis governments and communities, mainly in British Columbia and Newfoundland and Labrador. He believes the only way to a healthy future between public governments, aboriginal governments and the private sector is to build positive and sustainable relationships. Mr. Kennedy has been successful in reaching agreements benefiting both private proponents and aboriginal communities alike. He has represented resource sector businesses in negotiations with First Nations and has authored key strategy papers for business on treaty negotiations and about aboriginal consultation and accommodation.
Cap-Ex shares the views of Mr. Kennedy, making the appointment of Strategic Aboriginal Consulting Inc. an obvious choice for the Company to move forward and develop an Aboriginal Relations Policy and positive and sustainable relationships with aboriginal communities and governments. Mr. Kennedy will lead Cap-Ex in consultation activities and negotiations with aboriginal governments with a view to achieving mutually-beneficial outcomes.
